DNV and Singapore Collaborate on Maritime Decarbonization and Digitalization
Singapore aims for net-zero emissions in its domestic harbour craft by 2050, supported by DNV's expertise. A renewed MoU between the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and DNV focuses on advancing decarbonization technologies and smart shipping systems.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has set a goal for its domestic harbour craft to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. DNV is partnering with MPA to accelerate decarbonization and digitalization initiatives, including a renewed memorandum of understanding (MoU) focusing on zero-emission fuels and smart-ship systems.
DNV's contributions include feasibility studies on ammonia and hydrogen bunkering, as well as support for projects aimed at transitioning to low-carbon operations. Additionally, DNV is collaborating with local institutions to develop the next generation of maritime professionals through educational programs. This partnership enhances Singapore's position as a leading maritime hub, fostering innovation and sustainability.
