DNV Facilitates Financing for Grenergy's Solar and Battery Storage Projects in Chile
DNV has aided Grenergy in securing financing for a solar and battery storage portfolio in Chile's Maule and Bíobío regions. The financing, coordinated by BNP Paribas with Santander and Rabobank, supports Chile's energy transition towards carbon neutrality by 2050. The Central Oasis project, which combines solar generation with energy storage, aims to enhance grid stability and reduce reliance on coal. Chile's energy policy targets 80% renewable electricity by 2030, with significant battery storage deployment expected in the next decade.
