Dongwha Electrolyte Partners with PGT to Enhance US Battery Material Supply Chain
Dongwha Electrolyte has partnered with PGT to secure high-purity lithium hexafluorophosphate, enhancing its competitiveness in the North American battery materials market. This collaboration aims to reduce supply chain risks and reliance on foreign suppliers, particularly amid U.S. regulations on foreign entities. Dongwha's Tennessee plant is expected to benefit from increased exports due to the U.S. ban on Chinese battery materials.

Dongwha Electrolyte has signed an agreement with PGT for equity investment and the sourcing of high-purity lithium hexafluorophosphate, aiming to strengthen its competitiveness in the North American market. PGT will supply this key ingredient through its recently built plant, utilizing an advanced process that reduces costs and waste.
This partnership is intended to mitigate supply chain uncertainty and reliance on foreign suppliers, particularly in light of U.S. government regulations regarding foreign entities. Dongwha's Tennessee plant, with an annual capacity of 86,000 tons, is positioned to benefit from the U.S. ban on Chinese battery materials, with analysts predicting increased exports for Dongwha Electrolyte as a result.
