Donoso Mine Audit Progress Reaches 88.84% Completion
The audit of the Donoso copper mine is 88.84% complete, entering a critical validation phase. MiAmbiente highlights the urgent need for the processing of exposed medium and low-grade ore to mitigate environmental risks.

The Ministry of Environment (MiAmbiente) reported that the audit of the Donoso copper mine, conducted by SGS, is 88.84% complete. The audit team has examined 147 out of 370 commitments, with the remaining commitments undergoing evidence incorporation and administrative closure.
A significant concern is the exposure of medium and low-grade ore, which poses a risk of Acid Rock Drainage (ARD). MiAmbiente has mandated the removal and processing of this material as part of the Safe Preservation and Management Plan. Field verifications and technical site visits have been conducted to ensure accurate assessment and compliance with environmental standards.
