Dorfen to Construct Data Center by A94 to Enhance Digital Independence

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

A data center in Dorfen will begin construction in 2027 and is designed to supply waste heat to 400 households. With a processing capacity of two megawatts, the facility is part of a decentralized network to enhance digital resilience against major American tech firms.

The project, being developed by Hochtief Data Solutions for Yexio Dorfen, aims for completion by Q3 2027. The center will occupy 7,500 square meters and utilize renewable energy. Hochtief plans a network of 25 decentralized sites to ensure comprehensive service for industry and public sectors. The first phase includes a 12-meter high wooden building.
