Doyang Hydro Power Station Reaffirms Protected Status by NEEPCO
NEEPCO reiterates the Doyang Hydro Power Station's Protected Area status, prohibiting unauthorized activities. This is crucial for maintaining operational integrity and security.

The North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) has reaffirmed that the Doyang Hydro Power Station (DHPS) in Wokha District remains a Protected Area as per a Nagaland government notification dated October 5, 1996. The advisory specifies that no taxes, fees, or donations can be collected within the project area without prior approval from NEEPCO.
Additionally, any business or commercial activities without consent are prohibited, emphasizing that unauthorized access is at the individual's risk. This measure aims to safeguard the operational integrity of the DHPS, which is recognized as a vital asset for power generation.
