Dr. Stefanie Kesting will become the new CEO of Thyssengas GmbH on January 1, 2026, succeeding Dr. Thomas Gößmann, who retires in February 2026.

This leadership change comes as Thyssengas prepares to transition its transmission network to include hydrogen and other green gases alongside natural gas. Kesting, an energy manager aged 49, emphasizes the need for a holistic approach to the energy supply transformation and the establishment of a resilient gas infrastructure to support industry and regional decarbonization efforts.

The management board will temporarily consist of Kesting and Dr. Thomas Becker as CFO starting March 1, 2026.
