The Defence Research and Development Organisation's Proof & Experimental Establishment (PXE) has issued an Expression of Interest for a 5 MW solar power project at its facility in Chandipur, Balasore district, Odisha. This initiative aims to implement clean energy solutions for reliable power in critical operations.

The project includes a ground-mounted, grid-connected solar photovoltaic plant with a Battery Energy Storage System to enhance power reliability. The Solar Power Developer selected under the Renewable Energy Service Company model will oversee the entire project scope, including design, financing, construction, and maintenance for 25 years.

Approximately 25 acres of land is allocated for the project. Eligible Indian companies must have experience with at least 25 MW of grid-connected solar projects and a proven operational track record for a 5 MW project, along with positive financial statements for the past three years.
