e-STORAGE and Sunraycer Launch 503 MWh Battery Storage Projects in Texas
Canadian Solar's e-STORAGE and Sunraycer have partnered on two battery energy storage projects totaling 503 MWh in Franklin County, Texas. The Lupinus projects include Lupinus 1 (202 MWh) and Lupinus 2 (301 MWh), with construction for Lupinus 2 starting in Q3 2026 and Lupinus 1 in Q1 2027. Both projects aim to enhance grid stability in the ERCOT market and will utilize e-STORAGE's SolBank 3.0 system, supported by 10 years of service.

e-STORAGE, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, and Sunraycer have announced agreements for two battery energy storage projects in Franklin County, Texas, totaling 503 MWh. The Lupinus projects consist of Lupinus 1 (202 MWh) and Lupinus 2 (301 MWh). Construction for Lupinus 2 is set to begin in Q3 2026, with commercial operations expected by Q2 2027, while Lupinus 1 will start construction in Q1 2027 and is slated to be operational by Q3 2027. e-STORAGE will supply its SolBank 3.0 battery system and provide long-term services, enhancing the reliability of the ERCOT grid.
