Eagle Plains and Xatśūll First Nation Form Exploration Agreement for Mount Polley West
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. has entered into an Exploration Agreement with the Xatśūll First Nation, effective February 26, 2026, to conduct exploration activities at the Mount Polley West property in British Columbia. This collaboration focuses on environmental protection, regulatory processes, and economic benefits for the Xatśūll community, conditional upon adherence to agreed environmental protocols.

Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (TSXV:EPL) signed an Exploration Agreement with the Xatśūll First Nation for the Mount Polley West property in British Columbia, encompassing 7,407 hectares. The agreement facilitates early-stage exploration and requires compliance with environmental protections and community engagement.
A five-year exploration permit application is currently under review by the B.C. Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals. Previous work has identified geological indicators of mineralization, including a recent discovery of chalcocite and malachite with assay results of 161g/t Ag and 8.4% Cu.
Historical trenching has indicated mineralized copper intrusions. The project area is positioned near the Mount Polley Mine, suggesting potential for similar mineral deposits. This collaboration may influence resource development practices aligning with Indigenous rights and environmental stewardship.
