East Groningen Advances Hydrogen Network with Collaborative Project
The East Groningen Industrial Cluster is launching a regional hydrogen network project involving six companies, aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions. This initiative focuses on the production, transport, and utilization of green hydrogen, contributing to a sustainable energy future.

The East Groningen Industrial Cluster, comprising six companies, has initiated the Starter motor project to create a local hydrogen network between Veendam and Oude Pekela. Participants include industrial customers Nedmag, Solidus, and Strating, hydrogen producers Eurus Energy and Resilient Hydrogen, and grid operator Enexis.
A letter of intent has been signed, committing to the development of this network, which is part of the first phase of a broader plan to establish a regional industrial hydrogen cluster. This cluster aims to enhance the area's sustainability and energy supply resilience. The project is expected to significantly advance the local industry's transition to a greener future.
