East Vincent Planning Commission Recommends Denial of Pennhurst Data Center Project
The East Vincent planning commission voted unanimously to recommend denial of a data center project at the Pennhurst site, citing technical deficiencies and zoning ordinance non-compliance. The developer plans to revise the proposal but was absent from the meeting, prompting criticism from the commission. A public hearing is scheduled for March.

The East Vincent planning commission unanimously recommended that the township's board of supervisors deny a data center project at the historic Pennhurst site due to technical deficiencies and non-compliance with zoning ordinances. Residents have opposed the plan, which involves five two-story buildings, an electrical substation, and a solar field totaling over 1.3 million square feet.
The developer intends to revise the proposal but did not attend the commission meeting, which drew criticism. A conditional use hearing is set for March 16, and if an updated plan is submitted, it may return to the commission.
