Echelon Data Centres in Talks for Second Data Center in Lauderdale County, MS
Lauderdale County is negotiating with Echelon Data Centres for a second data center in the Sonny Montgomery Industrial Park. Echelon plans to purchase about 300 acres of land, including the old Loblolly site, for the project. The company is collaborating with Mississippi Power to supply approximately 500 mega volt-amperes of power. This follows a previous $10 billion investment from Compass Data Centers for an eight-center campus in the region.

Echelon Data Centres is in discussions to establish a second data center in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. The company has signed a letter of intent to acquire approximately 300 acres in the Sonny Montgomery Industrial Park.
The land spans from Highway 45 to the railroad tracks and includes both county-owned and privately owned properties. Echelon is coordinating with Mississippi Power to secure around 500 mega volt-amperes for the facility. This development comes shortly after Compass Data Centers announced a $10 billion investment for an eight-center campus in the area.
