Eco Minerals Acquires Kongsberg HUGIN Superior AUV to Enhance Survey Capabilities
Eco Minerals has procured a HUGIN Superior AUV, rated for 6,000 meters, to boost its deep-ocean survey capabilities and support critical mineral exploration. This acquisition aligns with the growing demand for advanced subsea data services, particularly in the Pacific region.

Eco Minerals, Inc. has announced the acquisition of a Kongsberg HUGIN Superior Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) through its subsidiary, Deep Sea Vision LLC. The HUGIN Superior, capable of operating at depths of 6,000 meters, will enhance Eco Minerals' offshore survey services and support its critical mineral exploration efforts in the Pacific Ocean.
This investment reflects the company's strategy to meet increasing demand for high-resolution subsea mapping. The AUV will also be available for commercial charter, providing an integrated approach to subsea mineral resource development. The acquisition is expected to improve Eco Minerals' operational efficiency and survey performance in complex deep-sea environments.
