ECoS and ACE Collaborate on ASEAN Power Grid Initiative in Sabah
ECoS and ACE are collaborating to enhance Sabah's power grid integration as part of the ASEAN Power Grid initiative. This partnership is supported by a recent US$4.5 million funding from the World Bank to assist ASEAN member states in project preparation for interconnections.

The Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS) is partnering with the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) to bolster regional cooperation on the ASEAN Power Grid (APG) initiative. The discussions included feasibility studies and a joint framework for capacity building in Sabah.
ACE has received approximately US$4.5 million in funding from the World Bank for projects related to APG interconnections. Key stakeholders included ECoS CEO Datuk Ir. Abdul Nasser Abdul Wahid and ACE Executive Director Datuk Ir.
Ts. Razib Dawood, along with Sabah Electricity representatives. This collaboration reflects ongoing efforts to enhance energy security and promote sustainable development in the region.
