EDC and UKEF Sign MOU to Enhance Canada-UK Critical Minerals Collaboration
Export Development Canada (EDC) and UK Export Finance (UKEF) have formed a partnership to strengthen critical minerals supply chains. This collaboration aims to enhance cooperation in sectors such as defence, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing, aligning with G7 goals for resilient supply chains.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by EDC and UKEF focuses on promoting Canadian and UK interests in critical minerals projects. The agreement seeks to mobilize investment and facilitate shared best practices in export credit and trade finance.
Supported by the Canada-U.K. Trade Continuity Agreement, both nations aim to create stable business environments for long-term partnerships. EDC is also expanding its presence in Europe to support exporters and investors. This collaboration is significant for both countries as they aim to enhance economic competitiveness and security in response to global challenges.
