EDF has integrated the Superbolt Tool at its La Coche hydroelectric plant in the French Alps to enhance maintenance efficiency. The tool allows for simultaneous tightening of over 250 jackbolts on the G5 Pelton wheel, significantly reducing maintenance hours by two-thirds.

La Coche, a key facility in France's hydroelectric production, utilizes a unique combination of reversible and non-reversible turbines to manage water inflows. The Superbolt Tool amplifies torque input for even preload, which has improved the ergonomics and speed of maintenance operations at the plant.
