EDF Implements Superbolt Tool for Enhanced Maintenance Efficiency at La Coche Hydropower Plant in France
EDF's La Coche hydroelectric plant in France has adopted the Superbolt Tool to improve maintenance efficiency. This tool reduces the maintenance time needed for the G5 Pelton wheel by enabling simultaneous tightening of over 250 jackbolts, leading to a reduction in labor hours by two-thirds. The La Coche facility, a major contributor to France's hydroelectric power generation, is equipped with advanced turbine technology to manage water inflows effectively.

EDF has integrated the Superbolt Tool at its La Coche hydroelectric plant in the French Alps to enhance maintenance efficiency. The tool allows for simultaneous tightening of over 250 jackbolts on the G5 Pelton wheel, significantly reducing maintenance hours by two-thirds.
La Coche, a key facility in France's hydroelectric production, utilizes a unique combination of reversible and non-reversible turbines to manage water inflows. The Superbolt Tool amplifies torque input for even preload, which has improved the ergonomics and speed of maintenance operations at the plant.
