EDF Renewables and Goldwind announced a partnership to reactivate the Steel Tower Factory in Jacobina, Bahia, enhancing the state's position in Brazil's wind energy sector. The initiative aims to boost regional employment and support the transition to clean energy.

The project includes a tax incentive agreement and will feature a park of wind component suppliers. Additionally, Goldwind is collaborating with SENAI Cimatec to establish a Battery Energy Storage System integrated with a wind turbine in Tanque Novo. The new factory in Camaçari, inaugurated in August 2024, will produce up to 150 wind turbines annually, with an investment of R$ 150 million, creating approximately 1,000 jobs.
