EDF Renewables and Goldwind Partner to Reactivate Wind Tower Factory in Jacobina, Brazil
EDF Renewables and Goldwind have partnered to reactivate the Steel Tower Factory in Jacobina, Brazil, aiming to enhance the region's wind energy sector and create around 1,000 jobs. The initiative includes a tax incentive agreement and the establishment of a wind component supplier park, alongside a collaboration with SENAI Cimatec for a Battery Energy Storage System. The new facility, set to produce up to 150 wind turbines annually with an investment of R$ 150 million, was inaugurated in August 2024.
