Edge Mode has secured power supply and land rights for five planned AI data centers in Spain, with a total capacity exceeding 1.5 GW. The project includes fiber optic connections and preliminary construction approvals, with operations supported by solar energy and large battery storage systems.

Each data center will be modular, comprising blocks with 10 MW IT capacity. Construction is expected to start in 2027. The project is part of a partnership, alongside a merger with Spanish investment fund Blackberry AIF.

Initial plans aimed for 100% solar and battery power supply; however, a recent update suggests reliance on gas-based baseload power with optional renewable integration. In October, Edge Mode announced additional solar assets and battery storage expansion, targeting a total of 878 MW in storage capacity at the Córdoba and Cáceres sites, exceeding the needs for both data centers.
