The Board of Directors of Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited (EGENCO) toured power stations in Southern and Central Malawi to assess operations and projects. Led by Chairperson Justin Saidi, the tour included Mapanga Diesel Power Plant, Kapichira, Nkula, and Tedzani hydropower stations from January 3-4, 2026, and continued with visits to Kanengo Diesel Power Plant and Salima Solar Power Project on January 13, 2026. The Board, appointed in December 2025, aims to support EGENCO employees in enhancing power availability.
