Elecnova Unveils Integrated Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage System at SNEC 2026
Elecnova introduced a 500 kW energy storage system with 1,044 kWh capacity, designed for backup power and microgrids. This modular system features rapid grid transition capabilities and advanced thermal management, supporting efficient operation in extreme conditions.

At the SNEC 2026 trade show in Shanghai, Elecnova launched a containerized energy storage system (ESS) that delivers 500 kW output and a total capacity of 1,044 kWh. The modular design includes four clusters, each with five battery packs totaling 261 kWh and a 125 kW power conversion system.
This system is tailored for critical backup and microgrid applications, equipped with a Static Transfer Switch for under 20 ms grid transitions. It operates at 832 V DC and supports a maximum charge/discharge rate of 0.5 P with a 100% depth of discharge.
Built from high-capacity LFP cells, it offers over 8,000 cycles and utilizes Modbus TCP/IP for communication. The unit's rugged container measures 2,991 mm x 2,438 mm x 2,896 mm, weighs 14 tonnes, and maintains operational efficiency across a -25 C to 55 C range. Compliance with various global safety standards enhances its reliability in diverse applications.
