Electrent Energy Expands into Hybrid Inverters and EV Batteries Amid Growing Lithium Demand
Indian startup Electrent Energy plans to enter hybrid solar inverters and electric two-wheeler batteries as lithium demand rises. The company aims to launch hybrid inverters from 1 kW to 50 kW by the end of 2023, and will introduce lithium-ion batteries for two-wheelers soon. Electrent has installed about 18-19 MW of battery capacity in various projects and is adapting to government policies favoring hybrid systems.

Electrent has installed around 18-19 MW of battery capacity over the last 18 months and focuses on off-grid solar solutions. The business faces challenges with supply chain stability due to reliance on imported battery cells. Its manufacturing facility is located in Bhiwani, Haryana.
