ELQ S.A. has been awarded an €86 million contract to serve as the EPC contractor for a 21MW green hydrogen project in Gaj Oławski, Poland. The project, financed with a total of €123 million, including a PLN 123 million subsidy from Poland's National Recovery and Resilience Plan, aims to produce 1,701 tonnes of RFNBO-certified hydrogen annually using PEM electrolysis.

The facility will be powered by 49.36MW of renewable energy and will include 41MWh of storage. Construction is set for completion by Q3 2027. This initiative is part of Europe's broader hydrogen strategy aimed at decarbonization and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
