ELQ Secures €86M Contract for 21MW Green Hydrogen Plant in Gaj Oławski, Poland
ELQ S.A. has secured an €86 million contract to act as the EPC contractor for a 21MW green hydrogen plant in Gaj Oławski, Poland, which is part of a €123 million project funded in part by a PLN 123 million subsidy from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The facility will produce 1,701 tonnes of RFNBO-certified hydrogen annually through PEM electrolysis, powered by 49.36MW of renewable energy and featuring 41MWh of storage, with construction expected to be completed by Q3 2027. This project aligns with Europe's hydrogen strategy focused on decarbonization and reducing fossil fuel dependence.
