Outline planning permission has been granted for a 1GW data center by Elsham Tech Park Ltd. in North Lincolnshire, UK. The facility will cover 1.5 million sqm and include 15 data halls with a total power draw of 1GW.

An on-site energy center is planned to generate 49.9MW. The project is expected to cost between £5.5 billion and £7 billion and aims to create 900-1,200 long-term jobs. Additional features include a greenhouse utilizing waste heat for tomato production and amenities for staff.
