Emgetis Advances Digital Transformation in Sergipe with Conecta-SE Program
Emgetis concluded 2025 as the central executor of Sergipe's digital transformation agenda, aligned with the Special Secretariat for Planning, Budget, and Innovation (Seplan). The Conecta-SE initiative aims to expand fiber optic coverage in rural municipalities and modernize state IT infrastructure, funded by the World Bank.
It focuses on connectivity expansion, digital infrastructure modernization, digital public service qualification, and execution monitoring. Notable projects include the Digital Belt and the modernization of the state datacenter.
Emgetis increased the Government Network capacity from 10 Gbps to 20 Gbps and implemented connection redundancy, serving 33 agencies and 21 state secretariats. In 2025, Emgetis enhanced digital security solutions and collaborated with the Institutional Security Office of the Presidency for cybersecurity improvements.
Sergipe joined the National Electronic Process Program (ProPEN), with Emgetis leading a pilot project for a fully digital information system to be completed by October 2026. Additional actions included equipment procurement for datacenter expansion and the implementation of an Incentivized Dismissal Plan (PDI 2025).
