BTRY AG showcases ultra-thin solid-state lithium-ion batteries that charge in one minute and operate at high temperatures, while Ionic Wind introduces a Lenovo ThinkPad T14 powered by ionic wind technology for silent operation. At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Empa spin-offs BTRY AG and Ionic Wind AG are showcasing advanced technologies addressing challenges in electronics and energy storage. BTRY AG introduces its ultra-thin solid-state lithium-ion batteries, measuring 0.1 mm thick, capable of charging in one minute and operating safely at temperatures up to 150°C.
This technology supports devices like smart labels and wearables. Ionic Wind presents the first ionic-wind-powered Lenovo ThinkPad T14, utilizing solid-state cooling technology that eliminates traditional fans for silent operation.
