EMSTEEL Recognized as 2026 Steel Sustainability Champion by World Steel Association
EMSTEEL has been named a 2026 Steel Sustainability Champion for the third consecutive year, solidifying its role as a leader in low-carbon steel production. This recognition highlights the company's ongoing commitment to sustainability and its significant reductions in emissions.

EMSTEEL (ADX: EMSTEEL) has been awarded the title of Steel Sustainability Champion for 2026, marking its third consecutive year receiving this honor. The World Steel Association recognized EMSTEEL during its Special General Meeting in Berlin, Germany, acknowledging the company’s dedication to sustainable practices in the steel industry.
In 2025, EMSTEEL achieved a 34% reduction in absolute emissions from its 2019 baseline, with emissions intensity reaching 0.637 tCO₂e per tonne of steel and 0.638 tCO₂e per tonne of cement. The company has focused on energy optimization and clean electricity, with 88.7% of its steel business’s electricity sourced from clean energy certificates.
EMSTEEL's initiatives, including carbon capture and the launch of the Electric Process Gas Heater, position it at the forefront of low-carbon steelmaking. The company also engages in global sustainability efforts, contributing to the UAE's Net Zero by 2050 goals.
