Energiekontor and illwerke vkw Finalize Purchase Agreements for Two German Wind Projects Totalling 93 Megawatts

WIND ENERGY

Energiekontor AG and illwerke vkw AG have signed contracts for the sale of two wind parks in Lower Saxony, Germany, totaling approximately 93 megawatts. This transaction concludes Energiekontor's 2025 financial year with seven successful sales.

The wind parks, Haberloh and Heidkrug, will provide around 79 and 14 megawatts respectively, featuring 13 Vestas V162-7.2 turbines. Expected annual yield is around 220 gigawatt hours, enough to power over 66,000 households and reduce CO2 emissions by 160,000 tonnes annually.

The projects benefit from an EEG feed-in tariff awarded by the Federal Network Agency. The completion of these parks is anticipated by the end of 2027, further enhancing illwerke vkw’s wind energy capacity at the Völkersen site to approximately 104 megawatts.
