Energy Dome's CO2 battery technology aims to revolutionize energy storage with a 19-MW project in Arizona expected by 2029. This solution offers a cost-effective alternative to lithium-ion batteries, utilizing common industrial materials and achieving zero CO2 emissions during operation.

Energy Dome, an Italian startup, is advancing battery storage technology with a 19-MW CO2 battery project in Arizona, projected to be operational by 2029. This facility will supply energy for 4,275 homes, demonstrating the viability of its thermomechanical system that uses CO2 to store and generate electricity efficiently.
The company is also developing an 18-MW system in Wisconsin and a 23-MW project in Ireland in partnership with Google. The technology promises 8 to 24 hours of energy storage, a lifespan exceeding 30 years, and is constructed from readily available materials, making it less vulnerable to supply chain disruptions. Energy Dome's innovations have been recognized with multiple awards, emphasizing the importance of long-term energy storage solutions as global energy demands rise.
