Enerjisa Plans 30 MW Off-Grid Solar Plant with Battery Storage in Turkey
Enerjisa Üretim is set to develop a 30 MW off-grid solar power facility with a 40 MWh battery storage system at Tufanbeyli. This initiative aims to address the anticipated increase in energy demand associated with the thermal power plant's operations.

Enerjisa Üretim will construct an off-grid solar power plant at the Tufanbeyli Thermal Power Plant, featuring a capacity of 30 megawatts and a 40-megawatt-hour battery storage system. The project’s environmental-impact assessment commenced on July 20, 2026, with plans for electric excavators and trucks to transport lignite for the thermal plant.
An opinion from Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority, dated March 8, 2026, indicated no regulatory barriers for integrating battery-storage facilities with unlicensed, off-grid power projects. The generated electricity is aimed at meeting the projected additional demand due to the thermal plant's activities.
