Enersea Completes Substation Jacket Design for Ørsted's Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm
Enersea has finalized the detailed design of two offshore substation jackets for the Hornsea 3 project in the UK. Each jacket, Link 01 and Link 02, weighs approximately 3,500 tonnes and will support substations weighing around 9,000 tonnes. The Link 01 jacket is already installed, while Link 02 is set for completion in August 2026. Heerema Fabrication Group is responsible for the jackets' EPC scope, subcontracting Enersea for engineering work, while Aibel holds the EPC contract for the complete substations from developer Ørsted.
