Enfinity Global Signs 420 MW Renewable Energy PPA with Microsoft in Italy
Enfinity Global has signed a 420 MW power purchase agreement with Microsoft, marking the largest PPA in Italy and Europe in the past year, excluding intra-group agreements. This deal supports Microsoft's €4 billion investment plan in Italy, primarily in Lombardy, and is expected to create approximately 3,500 jobs during development and 150 long-term positions. The renewable energy projects will mainly be located in Lazio and Emilia-Romagna, with the PPA likely being virtual due to the distance between production and consumption.

Enfinity Global has signed a 420 MW power purchase agreement (PPA) with Microsoft, marking the largest PPA in Italy and Europe in the past year, excluding intra-group agreements. This deal aligns with Microsoft's over €4 billion investment plan in Italy, primarily in Lombardy, aimed at enhancing AI infrastructure and data centers.
The agreement will create approximately 3,500 direct and indirect jobs during the project development phase, along with 150 long-term positions for facility management. The renewable energy projects will primarily be located in Lazio and Emilia-Romagna, with the PPA likely being virtual due to geographical distance between energy production and consumption. Enfinity has previously secured other PPAs totaling 808 MW, representing a 23% market share in Italy.
