Eni to Build Major Hydrogen Refueling Station in Porto Marghera for Venice Bus Fleet
Eni and Agsm Aim Power are developing a large hydrogen refueling station in Porto Marghera, Venice, to support a fleet of 94 hydrogen buses. The project, funded by approximately €80 million from Italy's PNRR and an additional €21 million for the station, aims for operational readiness by June 30, 2026. However, delays in construction and authorization processes may necessitate temporary fuel supply solutions. The facility will produce green hydrogen using renewable energy and is strategically positioned for future maritime hydrogen refueling.

Eni and Agsm Aim Power are collaborating on a hydrogen refueling station in Porto Marghera, Venice, designated for 94 hydrogen buses. The project is supported by €80 million from Italy's PNRR and €21 million for the station, targeting completion by June 30, 2026.
Despite delays in construction, Eni aims to begin fuel supplies by the deadline, potentially using temporary solutions. The facility will generate green hydrogen via water electrolysis, needing around 1,700 kg daily for the bus fleet. The project also envisions future hydrogen supply for maritime use due to its strategic location.
