Enlight CEO Highlights Renewable Energy Need Amid Geopolitical Tensions
Enlight Renewable Energy's CEO Adi Leviatan emphasizes the urgency for renewable energy due to geopolitical insecurities, particularly the strategic implications of the Strait of Hormuz. The company reported a 46% revenue increase for 2025, projecting continued growth as energy independence becomes critical globally.

Enlight Renewable Energy (Nasdaq: ENLT; TASE: ENLT) reported a 46% revenue increase for 2025, reaching approximately $582 million, with a net profit rise of 142%. CEO Adi Leviatan stresses the urgency for countries to pursue renewable energy for energy security, particularly given the geopolitical dynamics involving the Strait of Hormuz.
She notes that 20% of the world's oil passes through this area, highlighting the risk of supply disruptions. Leviatan also identifies Israel's slow transition to renewable energy, currently at 17%, as a barrier to meeting the government's goal of 30% by 2030.
Challenges include planning restrictions and network capacity issues. Enlight's operations focus on solar facilities, wind turbines, and energy storage systems. The company is positioned among the top solar developers in the US, competing with large international firms.
