Inox Clean Energy Acquires Vena Energy India for ₹6,000 Crore, Expands Renewable Portfolio
Inox Clean Energy's acquisition of Vena Energy India for ₹6,000 crore adds 1 GW of operational capacity and significantly enhances its renewable energy portfolio. This move positions Inox Clean to meet India's growing clean energy demands and strengthens its competitive stance in the market.

Inox Clean Energy has completed the ₹6,000 crore acquisition of Vena Energy India's renewable energy platform, effective August 18, 2026. The deal includes approximately 1 GW of operational renewable capacity and a development pipeline exceeding 12 GW.
Following this acquisition, Inox Clean's total operational and near-operational portfolio is projected to reach around 4 GW. The transaction also encompasses advanced-stage projects totaling 1.7 GW and battery storage assets of 1.2 GWh.
This strategic move enhances revenue visibility through established power offtake agreements with major entities, positioning Inox Clean for accelerated growth in India's renewable market. The acquisition underscores the trend of consolidation within the industry, allowing for quicker scale and reduced development risks.
