Enphase Energy Develops IQ Solid-State Transformer for AI Data Centers
Enphase Energy has introduced the IQ Solid-State Transformer (SST) targeting AI data centers, with an estimated U.S. market opportunity exceeding 11 GW by 2031. The system aims to enhance power efficiencies, transitioning to higher-density DC architectures.

Enphase Energy Inc. has developed the IQ Solid-State Transformer (SST) aimed at AI data centers, targeting an addressable market exceeding 11 GW in the U.S. by 2031. The SST features a 1.25 MW rack with 342 power modules, designed for 98.5% efficiency and 99.999% availability.
It converts medium-voltage AC directly to regulated DC in one stage, supporting 800 VDC and ±400 VDC configurations with rapid response times. Full demonstrations are anticipated by late 2026, with customer pilots in 2027 and volume shipments set for 2028.
Concurrently, Enphase has launched its IQ Energy Management system in Australia and New Zealand, and integrated IQ Batteries with Evergen's platform. Jefferies has revised the price target for Enphase from $57 to $54, while Wolfe Research has noted high activist attractiveness scores for the company, indicating potential shareholder engagement risks.
