Entergy Texas Secures $200 Million for Grid Resilience in Southeast Texas
Entergy Texas has received $200 million from the TxEF Outside-ERCOT Grant Program to enhance the electric grid for over 538,000 customers. This funding aims to improve storm resilience, ensuring quicker power restoration and reducing outage costs as hurricane season approaches.

Entergy Texas has been allocated approximately $200 million to enhance the electric grid serving over 538,000 customers in Southeast Texas. The funding will support two primary projects: strengthening over 400 miles of transmission and distribution lines and upgrading more than 9,000 utility structures, alongside flood-protection measures at five substations.
This initiative aims to improve reliability and speed of restoration during severe weather events. The investment is strategically timed with the onset of hurricane season, addressing the increasing frequency of severe storms. These enhancements are expected to occur without raising customer bills, aligning with Entergy's Southeast Texas Energy Plan for sustainable growth and resilience.
