Envalior Launches UDea EcoPaXX Q20HTC60 Tape for Hydrogen Storage Systems
Envalior has launched the UDea EcoPaXX Q20HTC60 thermoplastic UD tape designed for high-pressure hydrogen storage systems. Composed of polyamide 4.10 and 60% carbon fibers, this innovative tape offers significant weight and cost savings while being partly bio-based and fully recyclable, enhancing sustainability. The product ensures strong material bonding and structural integrity, addressing the increasing demand for efficient hydrogen storage solutions.

Envalior introduced the UDea EcoPaXX Q20HTC60 thermoplastic UD tape for high-pressure hydrogen pressure vessels. The tape, made from polyamide 4.10 and 60% carbon fibers, achieves a tensile strength of 2.2 GPa and offers up to 20% weight and cost savings through laser-assisted tape placement.
It is partly bio-based and fully recyclable, enhancing sustainability compared to thermosetting epoxy systems. The product enables strong material bonding and structural integrity, reducing risks of deformation and facilitating maintenance. This development addresses the growing demand for efficient hydrogen storage solutions.
