On August 13, Huizhou's ecology and environment bureau received environmental impact assessment documents for an 80,000 tpa lithium-ion anode material expansion project in Zhenlong, Huiyang. This project, linked to a major Chinese anode producer, will have a public consultation period of ten working days.
Meanwhile, the Maoming ecology bureau announced a comment period from August 21-28 for a carbon materials project involving the production of 50,000 tpa of liquid-crystal high-carbon materials and sodium/lithium battery anode materials, repurposing a former oil tank farm. These initiatives are expected to enhance the production capacity for battery materials in the Pearl River Delta region.
