EPCG Receives No Bids in Second Battery Energy Storage Tender in Montenegro
EPCG's second tender for battery energy storage, valued at EUR 75,000, received no bids by the deadline. The first tender, worth EUR 58.8 million, was canceled due to lack of government loan approval. The new tender aimed at a pilot project following a prosumer boom in solar power plants, but no participants were found.

EPCG's second tender for battery energy storage, with a value of EUR 75,000, closed without any bids. This follows the cancellation of the first tender, worth EUR 58.8 million, which was scrapped because EPCG did not secure government approval for a loan.
The initial project, aimed at installing two 30 MW battery systems, was postponed until the Pljevlja thermal power plant resumed operations. The new tender was meant for a pilot project to enhance electricity supply stability and improve grid management amid a rise in prosumer solar power plants driven by EPCG initiatives.
