EPS Engaged for £50M Battery Storage Projects in UK
Engineering Power Solutions (EPS) is set to provide consulting and design services for three battery energy storage systems valued at £50 million. These projects, located in Scotland and Surrey, aim to enhance grid stability and support the UK's transition to cleaner energy.

Engineering Power Solutions (EPS) has been contracted by Root-Power for three battery energy storage system projects, totaling approximately £50 million. Construction is slated to commence later this year in locations including Glasgow, Dounreay, and Caterham, with capacities of 84MW and 12MW respectively.
The projects are intended to connect energy storage facilities to the national grid, improving grid stability and reducing price volatility. EPS's responsibilities encompass engineering design, technical expertise, and safety support, which are crucial for meeting operational deadlines. The collaboration is expected to significantly contribute to the UK's energy infrastructure and facilitate a transition towards a low-carbon energy grid.
