Equinix Launches MB3 Data Center in Mumbai to Enhance AI and Cloud Services
Equinix has opened its fourth data center in Mumbai, MB3, to address the growing demand for AI and hybrid cloud solutions. This facility is crucial for supporting India's digital economy, projected to reach USD 1 trillion by 2027-2028.

Equinix's new MB3 facility in Mumbai aims to meet rising demands for secure, high-density, and interconnected infrastructure as AI adoption and cloud migration accelerate in India. The data center features liquid cooling and facilitates hybrid multicloud deployments, reinforcing India's digital economy, which is set to expand significantly.
With an investment of over USD 365 million in India, Equinix has enhanced its infrastructure capabilities across Mumbai and Chennai, providing more than 4,725 cabinets for optimized regional traffic. MB3 is fully powered by renewable energy and contributes to sustainability goals, including a solar project expected to reduce carbon emissions by over 30,000 tonnes annually.
