Erin Plans Public Meeting for Sewer Connection Bylaw This Summer
The town of Erin is advancing its wastewater management project, nearing completion with a budget of $240 million. A public meeting for sewer connections in Erin Village is scheduled for summer 2026, following a feasibility study to assess serviceable areas.

Erin's wastewater treatment plant project is nearing completion, with approximately $209 million spent of the $240 million budget as of December 2025. A public information center regarding sewer connection hook-ups is planned for summer 2026, alongside a feasibility study to assess the practicality of servicing areas in Erin Village.
Detailed design work is expected in late 2026, with construction slated for 2027 and 2028. This project has an anticipated cost of $40.375 million, with $29.4 million funded by a Housing Enabling Water Systems Fund grant. Additional funding opportunities for infrastructure improvements in Hillsburgh are being pursued.
