ERMCO to Establish Distribution Transformer Facility in Arizona to Support Chip Manufacturing
ERMCO announced plans to build a new distribution transformer manufacturing facility in Arizona to address the current transformer shortage. The facility aims to aid in the conversion of high voltage electricity to low voltage for commercial and residential use, essential for the electrical grid.
The location is strategic due to its protection from extreme climate and access to a skilled workforce, allowing ERMCO to be closer to key accounts, including major utilities in Arizona. The project is expected to create 500 jobs in the West Valley. Additionally, the facility will support the semiconductor and data center sectors as part of Arizona's growing technology industry.
