Ester Industries and Gravita India Announce Major Recycling Investments in Gujarat
Ester Loop Infinite Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (ELITe) has signed a Rs 1,600 crore MoU for a chemical recycling plant in Gujarat, while Gravita India plans a Rs 160 crore copper recycling facility. These projects highlight a significant shift towards sustainability in India's industrial sector.

Ester Loop Infinite Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (ELITe), a joint venture between Ester Industries and Loop Industries, signed a MoU with the Government of Gujarat for a chemical recycling plant with a proposed investment of Rs 1,600 crore.
The facility will produce 70,000 tonnes of recycled PET resin annually and is expected to generate around 500 jobs, commencing operations by 2028. Separately, Gravita India announced a Rs 160 crore copper recycling plant in Mandvi, Gujarat, with an installed capacity of 29,400 MTPA, expected to start within 12 months.
Both initiatives aim to enhance circularity, optimize resource use, and respond to growing demand for recycled materials. The developments may strengthen market positions and drive future growth in sustainability-focused sectors.
