EU Funding Secured for Green Hydrogen Project in Tyrol by Austrian, French, and German Consortium
The consortium of Green Hydrogen Development & Investment (Austria), Adele Hydrogen (France), and RCT GH (Germany) has applied for EU funding to establish an electrolysis plant in Tyrol to produce green hydrogen. The project aims to generate 500 tons of green hydrogen annually, reducing CO2 emissions by over 4,000 tons, with competitive pricing compared to conventional hydrogen. The plant will utilize advanced alkaline electrolysis technology and provide balancing power for the grid. Tyrolean Economic Affairs Minister Mario Gerber supports the initiative for its role in industrial decarbonization.

A consortium comprising Green Hydrogen Development & Investment (Austria), Adele Hydrogen (France), and RCT GH (Germany) is seeking EU funding to build an electrolysis plant in Tyrol for green hydrogen production. The project aims to produce about 500 tons of green hydrogen per year, reducing CO2 emissions by over 4,000 tons.
The hydrogen will be supplied to local industries at competitive prices. The plant will feature advanced alkaline electrolysis technology with novel electrodes from Adele Hydrogen, enabling a production capacity of 1,000 cubic meters of hydrogen per hour.
It will also provide balancing power for grid operators, optimizing hydrogen production costs. The project is supported by Tyrolean Economic Affairs Minister Mario Gerber.
