EU H2LOOP Project Partners Meet in Taranto to Advance Hydrogen Production Technologies
Partners of the EU H2LOOP project convened in Taranto to enhance hydrogen production technologies, focusing on a cobalt tetraazamacrocyclic complex as a catalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction. The collaboration, involving Rouge H2 Engineering and AMBARtec AG, is part of the EU's H2020 ITN 'eSCALED' initiative aimed at creating artificial leaf devices for solar energy storage. The project is co-financed by the European Commission under the RFCS-BIG TICKET program, with AMBARtec providing technological support to optimize the hydrogen production process.

The PhD project investigated a cobalt tetraazamacrocyclic complex as a molecular catalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). This research is part of the EU MSCA H2020 ITN 'eSCALED' project aimed at developing artificial leaf devices for solar energy storage in chemical fuels.
Rouge H2 Engineering and AMBARtec AG are collaborating on the EU project H2LOOP, which is co-financed by the European Commission under the RFCS-BIG TICKET program. A meeting of all project partners occurred at Acciaierie d'Italia in Extraordinary Administration in Taranto at the end of last year. AMBARtec AG provides technological support, while Rouge H2 Engineering benefits from AMBARtec's expertise with iron oxide nuggets used in the hydrogen production process.
