Eurazeo Leads €192 Million Investment in terralayr for Battery Storage Growth in Germany
Eurazeo has led a €192 million investment in terralayr, aimed at expanding its grid-scale battery storage portfolio in Germany through its Eurazeo Transition Infrastructure Fund. This funding will enhance terralayr's flexibility-as-a-service platform to meet the growing demand for grid flexibility and renewable energy in the European market. The investment marks ETIF's final commitment, which also includes various companies in solar, waste management, and data centers across Europe.

Eurazeo, through its Eurazeo Transition Infrastructure Fund (ETIF), has led a €192 million equity financing round for terralayr, targeting the expansion of its grid-scale battery storage portfolio in Germany. This funding, which includes an €80 million upsizing option, aims to scale terralayr's LAYR flexibility-as-a-service platform, addressing the increasing demand for grid flexibility in the European power market. terralayr develops and operates battery energy storage systems, and this investment is timely due to rising demand for renewable energy and energy independence in Germany.
The investment will accelerate terralayr's asset build-out and enhance its digital market platform, ensuring the sustainability of Germany's power supply. This marks ETIF's final investment, which also includes companies in solar, waste management, and data centers across Europe.
