Eurowind Energy to Inaugurate 48 MW Pecineaga Wind Park in Romania on April 29
Eurowind Energy is set to inaugurate the 48 MW Pecineaga wind power plant in Romania on April 29. The facility, featuring the largest turbines in the country, consists of eight Siemens Gamesa SG 6.6-170 turbines. With an investment of EUR 90 million, the park is expected to generate 176 GWh annually, serving 48,000 households. Final testing and safety checks are currently ongoing, with delays attributed to integration requests from the transmission system operator Transelectrica.

Eurowind Energy will inaugurate the 48 MW Pecineaga wind park in southeastern Romania on April 29. The project features eight Siemens Gamesa SG 6.6-170 turbines, the largest in the country, and represents an investment of EUR 90 million.
The wind park is expected to generate 176 GWh per year, sufficient for 48,000 households. Currently in the final testing phase, the project faced delays due to integration requests from Transelectrica.
Additionally, Eurowind has a 12-year virtual power purchase agreement with Autoliv. The company has been active in Romania since 2011 and has a project pipeline totaling 7.5 GW.
