Sumitomo Acquires 33.3% Stake in Gwynt Glas Offshore Wind Project
Sumitomo Corporation has acquired a 33.3% equity interest in the Gwynt Glas offshore wind project, joining partners EDF and ESB. The 1.5GW floating wind farm in the Celtic Sea aims to enhance renewable energy capacity for the UK while supporting net-zero targets.

Sumitomo Corporation now holds a 33.3% stake in the Gwynt Glas offshore wind project, which has a planned capacity of 1.5GW. This partnership with EDF power solutions UK and Ireland, and ESB, positions the project for further development phases following the submission of its Scoping Report to the Planning Inspectorate.
